Elliott Yamin diabetic

The American Idol star has been a positive influence on raising awareness regarding diabetes.
As an insulin pumper, he has helped bring this chronic disease to the forefront. As Elliott and Nick Jonas speak to the world about diabetes, it becomes more clear how many people are truly touched by this disease.
Every 30 seconds, a new diabetic is diagnosed in the United States.
Every 3 minutes, a diabetic dies in the United States
Every hour 24 hours a day, 9 diabetics in the United States has a part of their body removed/amputated.
I can not impress enough upon the D's out there how important it is to strive for tight control.
Elliott and Nick will have a life of ups and downs like the rest of us, but if they can stay in control, they, like us, can live a healthy, exciting , and long life.
If not, then they too will succumb to the beast called diabetes. It doesn't care how popular you are, or how much money you have.....a disease that doesn't discriminate. It just is!
Keep going.......................Peace, Bob
Wishing you "Well"
